WHAT EXACTLY IS CATARACT SURGERY?
Dr. Levine performs rapid recovery cataract surgery. Modern cataract surgery is one of the safest, most effective, and advanced treatments for improving sight. Cataract surgery is a 10-15 minute office procedure that uses a gentle ‘eye drop’ anesthetic, and light sedative. Once the cataract is removed, a cataract replacement lens (intraocular lens or IOL) is set into position to provide clear, natural vision.
A complimentary car service transports patients to and from our cataract center. Everyone heals differently, but most patients return to routine activities immediately, and read, watch TV, and drive often without needing any glasses the next day.
What would it be like to say goodbye to both cataracts and glasses at the same time?
Previously, the lenses used in cataract procedures provided good distance vision, but did not provide a full range of vision. This meant that people still needed glasses. Now, however, there is a new option: The Multifocal lens improves vision at all distances – near, far and everything in-between.
